The 2011 harvest began McC’s wine story on Fruška Gora. Coupage 2011 later earned Decanter Bronze and 90/100 from Jamie Goode; today’s organic certificates cover later, named vintages.
Coupage 2011
Coupage: the signature blend begins.
Merlot. Malbec. Cabernet Franc. Cabernet Sauvignon.
The first Coupage brought together fruit from the 2011 harvest. The four-variety blend became McC’s signature red, establishing a style built around ripe fruit, savoury complexity and time in the cellar.
Coupage 2011 received Bronze at the 2014 Decanter World Wine Awards. Jamie Goode awarded it 90/100 in January 2015, praising its balance and texture.

Why keep the first vintage?
A record of the estate’s beginnings.
The first vintage records the choices that shaped McC: the vineyard in Erdevik, its grape varieties and the development of a signature red blend. Those early wines established the estate’s reputation.
